Troncones - Day 3

The third day in Troncones was spent relaxing by the pool. I had thought that we (the kids) would get bored all three days at the resort (which is why we went to the island one day), but I feel like we didn't have enough time relaxing/ playing by the pool. The third day went by way too fast!
What we had to look at while we ate breakfast

Me and Jess "sunbathing" by the pool
(I still came home pretty white...darn sunscreen!)

Another picture of our bungalow

If you look closely, you can see a bird in the water

Ethan getting ready to jump in

Nolan getting ready to jump in

Lydia napping by the pool

Jessie found a big hermit crab on one of their beach walks

Jess and I dried our hair on the porch
because it was so nice with the breeze
So, this night for dinner, we went to place that was recommended and this time we had a name... El Torro del Mar (the bull of the sea). Once again, it was more of a shack on the ocean with seating outside. There were other people eating there, though, so we knew we were at the right place. It was in a beautiful cove. Jessie's birthday dinner didn't start off great...the sign for the restaurant was a little sketchy, the margaritas were gross, and Jessie got diablo (spicy) sauce in her eye, courtesy of Justin, but, once the food came, it was "the best birthday dinner ever!" Apparently, they don't have an electric stove, so everything was cooked above a fire. It took quite a while for them to cook the food, but boy was it worth it!! The best lobster and fish I've ever had!
This is the sign of the "restaurant" we ate at
Our gross Margaritas came in red, plastic cups,
and Ethan's lemonade came in this nice glass??

The cove that the restaurant was in

Yep, another beautiful sunset!

Ethan and Aunt Jessie

The food was taking so long that the
boys went to play by the water

The birthday girl and her hubby

YUM...diablo red snapper

So delicious!

James liked the fish the best

"thank you for such a great birthday dinner!"

Nolan got a little further into the water than
we wanted, so he was soaked. Good thing
we were eating outside and no one cared
about the kid in the underwear!

When we got home and got the kids into bed,
we celebrated Jessie's 30th birthday with champagne.
She had a little trouble opening the bottle

but she got it!
On our way home we got stuck behind some cattle
