Troncones - Day 1

We ended Jess and Justin's visit at the BEACH!! We went to Troncones, a quiet beach town about 20 minutes outside of Ixtapa. Many of our friends have been going to this particular resort for years and always rave about it, so we have been anxious to try it out. It was GEORGEOUS! We stayed in a bungalow right on the beach and enjoyed the sound of the crashing waves all night long. There were hardly any people around and we ate the most delicious seafood (caught that day) at shacks they call restaurants on the beach. We all had an amazing time and can't wait to go back!

I went a little overboard with the pictures, but I couldn't get enough of the beach/ocean views and sunsets each night! So, here they are (part 1)...

Drinks from the bar before we even got into our room!

Who's under the sombrero?

The far bungalow, right on the beach, is ours!

We went to a place down the road called "El Burro Borracho" (the drunk donkey) for dinner. It was the most restaurant-like place we ate at all weekend and it was delicious! We got (2) pitchers of margaritas that were so yummy, but (as we found out later) so strong!

Lydia loved the rocking horse!

The sunset was absolutely amazing!
Jessie and I both ordered the shrimp with cheese,
wrapped in bacon, in barbeque sauce. SO delicious!
Nolan eating his favorite...OCTOPUS! We had to order more!
Ethan scarfed down his shrimp as well...I
have to say, he takes after his mom on that one!
