Mother's Day

Mother's Day is always May 10th in Mexico no matter what day of the week it is. Since that's James' birthday, we've decided to still celebrate my Mother's Day the same day as the US. The good news for James? He gets a half day on his birthday since Mother's Day is such a big deal here! On the Us Mother's Day, we met some friends for comida to celebrate.

Me with my kiddos

Monday before Mother's Day here, Lydia's school had a little presentation for all the moms. What a difference a year makes. I remember at last year's program, Lydia saw me and started crying and wouldn't stay on the stage. She did a great job this year! She knew all the words and movements and even played the triangle on beat. She's getting so big!

She had to wear a red shirt and jean skirt. I didn't have a red shirt

for her, so my friend (from Canada) let me borrow her daughter's

Canada shirt. It's the best I could do on such short notice!

Lydia was the last one off the stage...she

really loves being up there!
