Preschool Mini Olympics

This school year has flown by.  I could not believe it was time for the Mini Olympics already! (although it was earlier than usual).  Like I said last year, they do such a great job putting the mini olympics together.  This year, in honor of the upcoming Lodon olympics, each classroom was a different sport.  Sadly, my kids weren't all that into it this year.  Nolan was home sick the day before and, aparently, still wasn't feeling great and I think Lydia was getting sick.  Nolan did perk up a little bit when the parents of the K3 students gave their kid a magic carpet ride.
Lydia's class walking in the opening ceremonies.  Her class was "tennis."

Nolan's class walking in the opening ceremonies.  His class was "track
and field."  Nolan's the tall one, in pants, walking with his head down.

The school mascot, the Jaguar always pays a visit.

The flag ceremony.  A couple of girls from Nolan's class were involved....
Sophia is holding the flag and Michelle is on the left hand side of the picture.

What's that under the parachute?
The torch...
Lighting the flame...

This year's flame:  2nd grade girls dancing

She ended up participating.

Nolan looked like this most of the morning.  Sitting
on the ground, wiping his nose because he was crying.

Hurdle time for Lydia

Run, Lydia, Run!

This is the second year in a row that Grandma and
Grandpa were here for the mini olympics.
