Ixtapa Island (Day 3)

Monday, we headed to Ixtapa Island. When we came to Ixtapa in May, our resort was right across from the island, but we didn't end up going. We missed out because it was absolutely gorgeous. It was great because the water was calm, so Nolan, who refused to get in the ocean in the past, had a breakthrough! He was in that water the entire time we were there! We all had a wonderful time swimming, playing in the sand, and then going over to the other side of the island to see some fish. Ethan really wanted to snorkel, but we had a few issues, so we'll have to wait until next time!
Nolan, Charlotte, Ethan, and Ryan on
the boat headed for the island

The water was beautiful!

The first time in the ocean this trip...

Charlotte caught a crab!

Daddy and the kiddos out in the ocean

Lydia deepening the hole
Nolan playing in the waves

Lydia and Ryan in their little pool on the beach

The other side of the island where all of the fish were...just
standing in the water, we saw about 5 different kinds of fish.
They were so colorful and beautiful!
There's an alligator reserve on the road to the pier
where you catch the boat to the island. There were
tons of alligators and a few iguanas hanging out.

Beautiful sunset for our last night in paradise!
