Ixtapa, Day One

After our Halloween-filled Friday, we left bright and early Saturday morning for Ixtapa! James had just gotten back Friday afternoon from his business trip to Columbia and Venezuela, so we were both excited to try to relax by the beach!

It's still the low season in Ixtapa, so I ended up negotiating a 4 bedroom condo, with a beautiful pool, right on the beach, for $200 a night. We went with our friends from England, the Barnett's, so were able to split the cost! $300 dollars per family for three nights! I would highly recommend this place! It was amazing!

Thanks to Sarah's aggressive driving, we arrived in Ixtapa in record-time and headed down to the pool for the rest of the afternoon!

What great timing we had! There happened to be a cooler full of baby sea turtles waiting to be released into the ocean. Apparently, this is the time of year for it. What an amazing experience for all of us! As the sun was setting that evening, the kids placed their sea turtle on the sand, and watched them all swim off into the ocean!

Lydia got to release the first turtle...the guy ended up
having to put it on the beach for her, but it still counts!
