Next week (September 16th), Mexico is celebrating 200 years of Independence. Needless to say, it's a HUGE deal. Anyway, for this big event, Queretaro has over a dozen "paper dragons" under Los Arcos. They are basically huge pinatas and they aren't really dragons, they're a mixture of a few different animals with dragon-like features mixed in. We walked the arches last weekend and the kids couldn't get enough of these "dragons." They were so excited to see each one and we had to force them to the next one. They were pretty amazing. We had to cut our visit a little short because Los Arcos is in the middle of a very busy road and Nolan felt like he needed to walk right toward the road everytime we moved from dragon to dragon. It got a little scary for us!

You can see that they really are made like a pinata...there's some wear and tear which was sad to see
