A second visit to Tolantongo

Last year, we were introduced to a great place in the state of Hidalgo called Tolantongo.  You can see the posts here.  We had such a great time last year, so we decided to make the trip again.  It did not disappoint!  I love this place.  I could sit in the volcanic heated river forever!
Views on the drive down the steep, curvy mountain to Tolantongo

Inside the cave, under the waterfall...amazing natural creations...

I went further into the cave (without the kids), through a very
strong current, and saw some even more amazing creations

A great picture of the forceful downspout in the cave

The weekend we were in Tolantongo was Mya and Lydia's birthday weekend.  Mya turned 6 on March 10th and Lydia turned 4 on March 11th.  So, at dinner on Saturday night, the whole group sang happy birthday to the girls and we had cupcakes to celebrate.  Both girls were so happy!

Nolan always amazes us with how messy he can get!

Lynda and Lydia had some serious conversations around the fire!
