Tonala and Tlaquepaque

We left for Guadalajara early Friday morning so we could see a couple of the towns on the outskirts of the city. We made our first stop at Tonala. We walked up and down the main street and saw many interesting crafts and artwork. We would have loved to have spent more time, but knew that we had another town of shopping and 5 kids who could only take so much.

After 12 km took us an hour (thanks to the lovely GPS), we made it to Tlaquepaque where we met up with the rest of our group. It was absolutely beautiful, but the shopping was a bit expensive for Mexico standards. We walked around, seeing the sites and window shopping before all meeting up for dinner. I loved Tlaquepaque and would go back there in a heartbeat!
