All around Queretaro

My Mom and Don were here for two weeks, so we did quite a few day trips while the kids were at school. Here are some highlights:

SAN MIGUEL

The famous church and, of course, Starbucks

The view from Milenio III in Queretaro

Steelers helmet in Superama!

Mom and Don in front of a fountain in Centro.

We were able to have a nice, relaxing, adult dinner in Queretaro.

BERNAL

It was a much clearer day than last time I was there.

Mom taking a rest. We climbed further than I had been,

but not even close to the top.

My friends Terri Lynn and Lynda joined us

After the climb, we walked around the town. It was very quiet and not a lot was open,

but it was a very cute town that I'd like to visit on a weekend when things are busier!

I love the dog on the top of this building

next to the rock!

Bernal is known for it's gorditas, so we found an open

restaurant and had a few. We got to watch them prepare

them too...not sure we wanted to see that, but they

tasted good and nobody got sick, so it was a success.

EL CERRITO PYRAMID

We couldn't fit in Teotihuacan this trip, but at least we

were able to visit Queretaro's pyramid, El Cerrito. It was

the first time both Mom and Don had seen a pyramid.

CENTRO

Breakfast anyone?

Both Mom and Don love walking around Centro Queretaro.
An added bonus...Don got his shoes shined!
