As in past years, we had a combined birthday party for Ethan and Nolan. This year's theme? Super Mario Brothers. We had over 60 people come to enjoy the hot dogs and tortas, bouncy, pinatas, and conversation. Since there are rarely clouds here, let alone rain, it is usually pretty safe to plan an outdoor party....even during the rainy season. The morning of the party, we woke up to clouds and then pouring down rain. Ethan and I were not very happy (I think there may have been tears from each of us), but, by the time the party started, the rain had stopped. It was dry for 5 hours for the party and then about a half hour after everyone left, there was a thunderstorm. We were so lucky, but, I am pretty sure that was the last good rain of the rainy season.
