Nolan turns 6!!

Less than a week after his surgery and ordeal with his heart, Nolan turned 6.  He was so excited for his birthday!  We had the typical celebration:  decorated door,  cake for breakfast, opening presents, activity of choice (Chuckee Cheese), and dinner of choice (spicy chicken wings).  Nolan had a great day!

I have no idea where I put the candles, so
the tea light had to do.  He didn't seem to mind.

This past year has probably been the year with the most change for Nolan.  He has really developed into a neat little person.  Still oblivious on many occassions, but much more aware of his surroundings.  He still loves legos more than life itself and has developed this weird obsession with numbers.  Nolan has started to read simple books and loves school so far this year.  He is still the sweetest boy you'll ever meet.  He's constantly giving me random hugs and saying thoughtful things to others.  Here are a few of Nolan's favorites at six:
