Once the rocket football teams were split, we found out that Ethan's team was chosen to play at Ford Field at the Lion's season opener. I'm not sure how many teams were chosen for the whole season, but I know that Gull Lake hasn't had this opportunity for many years. The whole team was very excited andd it was a great time. Ethan had lots of support. James and I went, my Dad and Anna (who were visiting from North Carolina), James' parents, and Trae and David were all able to make it to the game. The team tailgated beforehand and we all went together into the stadium to find our seats....in the last row. At the end of the first quarter, the kids headed down to the field. They looked so tiny compared to the pros! They played for only 6 minutes (3 on offense, 3 on defense) and then headed back through the tunnel. It was fun to see them play on the big field! And the Lions ended up winning in the last minutes.
