Mineral de Pozos

This past weekend, we took a day trip to Mineral de Pozos.  It was known as a ghost town with many ruins and abandoned mines, but has recently been rediscovered by tourists and artists and is coming back to life.  It was a very cold day and James had to be in Mexico City that evening, so we just scratched the surface of what there is to see and do, but it is definitely a town I would like to explore more.  We had a short tour of the city, a music demonstration, and a hacienda/ mine tour.  It's been two days and I feel like I'm still thawing out, but I love seeing new places!

While we were waiting for the music presentation to be
set up, we took a walk to the dool store in town.  All of the
dolls were completely handmade and beautiful.  None of us
could believe that the dolls were only 200 pesos (15 USD)! 
Of course, each of us got one for our daughters!
