Splish Splash

Okay, I need to give a little background info to this post. When we moved here and joined our club, I figured it would be a perfect time to get the kids in swim lessons and for them to FINALLY (well, for Ethan) learn how to swim. It's just so hard in Michigan when you don't have access to a pool and, even if you did, you can only use it a few months out of the year. The swim lessons are never being reinforced, so it's no wonder Ethan still, after many lessons and a fair bit of money, does not know how to swim.

Well, Ethan has been loving swim lessons and actually making decent progress. Nolan and especially Lydia were not too excited. The first lesson after Spring Break both of them cried their whole class (Nolan's is an hour and Lydia's is a half hour). I was wondering if it would all be worth it. Fast forward 2 weeks and Lydia made it through an entire class without crying! Then, this weekend we spent the weekend at a couple of pools and Lydia did not want to get out of the water! She was having a ball. This from a girl who wouldn't step foot in the water a month ago in Puerto Vallarta!

Here are a couple of pictures from this weekend. We went to our club on Saturday and our friends' house on Sunday:

A picture of the pool at our club...there's even a swim up bar! Daddy and Lydia in the water. I was in with her for a very long time, but somebody didn't think to take pictures!

Ethan throwing a fit...even when we're having a great time he has to find something to complain about! He was sweet to his brother, though, carrying him around the pool.
