Random Winter

We got to see Terri Lynn and Maya the first week of January up in Grand Rapids.  The kids went swimming while Terri Lynn and I chatted.  There's a lot to catch up on when you talked almost every day for two years and haven't seen each other for 6 months!

We have gotten a lot of snow this winter.  Every time we turned around it was snowing.  Usually it doesn't disrupt life in western Michigan, but the kids had 6 snow days!  This was definitely not the most snow we had, but it gives an idea:

At the country club we belong to, they have a Family Fun Night at least once a month.  There's usually a great buffet and a DJ and other activities for the kids.  It's great because you don't have to pay for a sitter, but the kids are entertained so you can eat in peace and chat with friends.  It's nice to have in the long Michigan winter!  Lydia, Nolan, and Ethan Carr breaking it down on the dance floor and Lydia with her unicorn face painting:

Lydia's been in dance since September, but they don't have their recital until June.  About a month ago they got the costumes in.  Here is her hip hop costume (she also has a ballet costume).
