Our first days in Michigan

Overall we had an uneventful flight back to the US.  We stayed at James' parent's house the first night and then headed to our new house on Monday.  Overwhelming is the only way to describe coming into our house with furniture we just acquired from my dad, furniture that we bought from the previous homeowner, furniture and boxes from storage (things we haven't seen in 2 1/2 years!), and knowing that we had a truckload of furniture and boxes on it's way from Mexico.  I just had to get out of there, so James took us over to show us the country club and then we all went to see a movie.  Not wanting to come back to Michigan and having so much to do when I got back was definitely not a fun combination for me!  Having said that, the unpacking was surprisingly smooth and we've had a chance to see family, old friends, and have had some fun times.

The kids did a Vacation Bible School one week and loved it!

The Houle's came for a weekend and the kids enjoyed spending time
together, swimming in the lake, and making s'mores

Yay!  I got to see familiar faces from Mexico!  Missy and Tara came to visit and
we had a great time catching up and shopping!  I hope we can do it again soon!

We were able to meet up with Terri Lynn and Mya while they were in Grand
Rapids before their move to Germany!  The kids were happy to see Mya!
