Stop 9: Detroit

On our way from Battle Creek to Detroit, we stopped in Ann Arbor to visit my friend, Liesl, and her kids, Elyse and Braden. They're friends from Chicago, but they happened to be in Michigan visiting her mom when we were driving through. It was great to see them, but it was way too short!

From there we headed to James' parent's house in Northville. We spent lots of fun times with Nina, Grandpa, Aunt Julie, Uncle David, Trae, Carly, and Uncle Mike and Lauren.

The first night at Nina and Grandpa's we went to the country

club for the balloon man. He made Lydia a purse and the

boys (and Carly) swords and shields.

At least Carly's sword was purple!
