Every year, the preschool has a spring parade where the bikes are decorated and the kids dress up and parade around for the parents. This year was Lydia's first year, so, although it's a pain in the butt, I was looking forward to getting her bike decorated. She wanted to be a butterfly and Nolan wanted to be Captain America, so I took the bikes to the pinata shop to get decorated.
Two days before the parade, we found out that our flight to the US on that Saturday (3 days away) was cancelled, so we had to scramble for other flights. Because of all of the schools in the country having the following two weeks off for Easter, most of the flights were booked. The only flight that worked was leaving Friday afternoon and spending two nights in Houston. So, in the end, the parade was missed, but, more importantly, James' going away party had to be cancelled.
